Hope for the Fatherless

This past August, Prison Fellowship awarded Rita with the Angel Tree Star of Victory Award in Grapeland, Texas, at Frontier Camp, which hosts six weeks of Christian camp every summer for more than 600 children with an incarcerated parent. The award is presented annually to recognize the courage and accomplishments of a person who has overcome the adversity of a parent’s incarceration.

Irvine Valley College Alumna of the Year

IVC celebrated its 27th annual commencement ceremony at the new Live Oak Terraces venue on Friday, May 18. Over 1,500 graduates, friends, family and dignitaries were in attendance, including IVC's oldest graduate, 85-year-old Gene Hovatter of Irvine, the youngest graduate, 16-year-old Janet Han of Irvine, and Alumna of the Year Rita Viselli.
